Updated on Thursday April 25, 2024: While we’re still waiting for the official release of the Army & Air Force Exchange Service’s (AAFES) Black Friday ad for 2024, we’ve been keeping a close eye on them for the past ten years. Based on our experience, here’s what we expect to see during this year’s event:
- We’re expecting the ad to be released on or around Monday November 18, 2024. It’s usually quite large, anywhere from 36 to 60 pages in length.
- The sale itself will likely begin online on Thanksgiving day and in-stores when doors open at 8:00am on Black Friday. The majority of the advertised prices are expected to be valid through the long holiday weekend until Sunday night, or while in-stock inventory lasts, however there will be some Friday-only in-store specials. No rain-checks are offered on sold out goods.
- In terms of the deals, you’ll find everything from TV’s to cookware, clothing to jewelry, and much more, all with no sales taxes. You can scroll down the page to view last year’s ad to get a general idea of the type of offers that we often see.
- Remember, only active military personal who can provide a military provided ID card can shop at AAFES.

Black Friday 2024 Start & End Dates
For as long as we can remember, Black Friday sales at Army & Air Force Exchange Service has always started online on Thanksgiving day itself and in-stores on Black Friday morning, never earlier than that. Historically, the best deals only last through Friday evening or while in-stock supplies last. So what about this year? The same sales schedule is expected to return once again!
- Expected BF sale start date, online: Thursday November 28, 2024 at 12:00AM CST. All AAFES stores are closed on Thanksgiving day itself.
- Expected BF sale start date, in-stores: Friday November 29, 2024 when doors open at 8:00AM local time.
- Expected BF sale end date: Friday November 29, 2024 when doors close or while in-stock supplies last.
