Chinese Laundry’s Black Friday 2025 Sale – What to Expect & When

If you’re thinking about picking up a new pair of boots or heels for the winter season—or you’re just waiting to refresh your closet without paying full price—Chinese Laundry’s upcoming Black Friday sale is worth keeping an eye on. I’ve been following their sale patterns pretty closely, and based on what they did last year, here’s what to expect from the 2025 event.

When Will the Sale Start?

Based on past years, including 2024, Chinese Laundry is expected to kick off VIP early access to their Black Friday sale around November 17, 2025. That usually means Club Chinese Laundry members get first dibs on the deals before they go live for everyone else.

The main Black Friday sale should start around Monday, November 25, and will likely run through the long weekend, wrapping up with a bigger push for Cyber Monday on December 1.

Last year’s schedule followed this same pattern—VIPs got a week’s head start, the general sale opened the Monday before Thanksgiving, and Cyber Monday brought in deeper discounts. There’s no official confirmation yet, but based on that structure, 2025 should be similar.

Where You Can Shop

Everything will be available online at chineselaundry.com.  Occasionally, you might find their shoes marked down on third-party retail sites (like Nordstrom Rack, DSW, or Zappos), but the official sale runs through their website and includes perks like:

  • Free shipping on orders over $49

  • Free returns on those same orders

  • No promo code needed (prices usually marked on-site)

The free shipping threshold and no-code setup make things a bit easier, especially if you’re just grabbing one or two pairs.

How Much Can You Save?

Here’s the breakdown of what discounts typically look like based on last year’s sale:

  • Up to 50% off select styles during the Black Friday period

  • Up to 75% off for Cyber Monday (but only on a limited number of items)

So, while 50% off is solid and covers a decent range of styles, waiting until Cyber Monday might be smart if you’re looking for deeper markdowns. That said, some of the more popular or newer styles tend to sell out before Cyber Monday even arrives, so there’s a bit of risk in waiting too long.

One thing to keep in mind: The “up to” part is key. Not everything is going to be half off, and only select styles hit the 75% mark. A lot of the deeper discounts usually apply to older inventory or seasonal designs.

Styles Usually Included in the Sale

Chinese Laundry typically marks down a pretty wide range of footwear during Black Friday, and it spans both in-season and end-of-season items. Here are the main categories where you can usually expect to see deals:

1. Boots and Booties

This is probably the biggest section during Black Friday. Last year, several pairs of over-the-knee boots, block-heeled booties, and lug sole styles were marked down between 30% and 50%.

Examples from 2024 included:

  • “Theresa” Knee-High Boot – Originally $129, marked down to $89

  • “Rumor” Platform Bootie – $99 down to $59

  • “Reggie” Chelsea Boot – 40% off during the early access period

If you’re shopping for boots, Black Friday is a pretty good time. By Cyber Monday, some sizes were gone, especially in standard colors like black, taupe, and beige.

2. Heels and Dress Shoes

Chinese Laundry always leans into heels—think platform sandals, strappy heels, and block styles. During last year’s sale, a lot of these were discounted in the 30–50% range. On Cyber Monday, a few select pairs dropped to 60–75% off.

Items that stood out last year:

  • “Teaser” Platform Sandal – $79 marked down to $49

  • “Yita” Strappy Heel – hit 50% off during Cyber Monday

  • “Theron” Metallic Block Heel – part of the 75% off group (limited sizes)

You’ll also sometimes see holiday-friendly glitter or satin styles show up with decent discounts, especially as we get closer to December.

3. Casual Flats and Sneakers

This category usually sees lighter markdowns than boots or heels. Discounts are often closer to 20–30%, but there are exceptions. If a sneaker or flat didn’t sell well during the year, it might land in the deeper Cyber Monday bin.

Last year’s casual picks:

  • “Jody” Platform Sneaker – 25% off during Black Friday, 40% off on Cyber Monday

  • “Farren” Flat – 30% off for most of the sale

  • “Lana” Loafer – hovered around 40% off late in the event

If you’re not shopping for something seasonal or trendy, this category’s worth checking toward the end of the sale.

4. Sale Section / Clearance

There’s always a dedicated sale section on Chinese Laundry’s website, and it gets updated during Black Friday. This is where you’ll find some of the best deals—but also the most inconsistent sizing. Many styles here hit 60–75% off during Cyber Monday in 2024.

Shoes in this section last year included:

  • Summer styles like espadrille wedges and raffia mules

  • Off-season heels from spring and summer lines

  • Clearance winter boots from earlier years

The biggest challenge with the clearance section is sizing. If you’re a common size like 7.5–9, popular styles sell out early. Less common sizes might hang around longer, and you’ll sometimes find a great deal if you’re willing to scroll.

Should You Wait for Cyber Monday?

That depends on what you’re shopping for. If there’s a style you really want and it’s part of the early Black Friday deals, grabbing it at 30–50% off isn’t a bad move. Once it’s gone, it probably won’t come back in stock. But if you’re just browsing or looking for a deep markdown, waiting until Cyber Monday could pay off. That’s when some styles get bumped up to 60–75% off.

Just keep in mind that the Cyber Monday selection is usually more limited. So if you’re looking for specific sizes, colors, or current-season styles, they might be gone by then.

Return Policy and Shipping

During the sale period, Chinese Laundry typically offers:

  • Free shipping on orders over $49

  • Free returns (also on orders over $49)

Returns have to be initiated within 30 days, and shoes should be unworn. If you’re not sure about sizing, this makes it a little easier to buy without worrying too much.
