Last Year’s Labor Day Sale Details

Updated on Friday August 25, 2023: REI made national headlines a few years ago by opting out of Black Friday. But Labor Day is an entire different ball game!

Starting today, shop REI’s Labor Day sale in-stores or online to save up to 80% off select items. Here are some of this year’s highlights:

Extra 20% off the lowest marked sale item in the REI Outlet section on any one item of your choice with coupon code LABORDAY23 (valid for REI Members only). Terms and conditions apply.
Up to 80% off select REI Co-op clearance items for REI Members only. That includes camping gear like sleeping bags, portable chairs, tents, backpacks, cooking supplies and coolers.
Up to 50% off on clothing and footwear from brands such as prAna, Marmot, Patagonia, REI CO-op brand and others.
Up to 30% off cycling deals from Cannondale, Co-op Cycles and Saris.
Up to 25% off camping and hiking supplies from brands such as Big Agnes, Gregory and Black Diamond.

Last Year’s Memorial Day Sale Details

Updated on Monday May 15, 2023: REI’s annual anniversary sale officially kicks off later this week on Friday, May 19th, and runs for a full 10 days, ending on Memorial Day itself. Again this year they are calling it their “biggest sale of the year” so it’s an event you definitely shouldn’t miss (as you probably know, REI doesn’t run a Black Friday sale). We’ve posted their complete 24-page flyer below with all of this year’s sale highlights.

Here are some of our favorite deals this year:

Online & in-store coupon — You’ll be able to use promo code ANNIV23 to get an extra 20% off any one REI Outlet item of your choice and/or any one full-priced item of your choice. You’ll just need to have a REI membership as it’s for members only (or signup before you shop — it cost’s $20 for a lifetime membership so the savings should quickly cover the cost). Just keep in mind that some items are excluded from the coupon… we’ve posted the full and official terms and conditions below with all of the important details.
Bikes & bike accessories — You’ll able to pick up 15% off all Co-Op cycles CTY and DRT bikes for adults, and REV bikes for kids (excludes electric bikes). You can also save 30% off REI Co-op brand cycling gear, 25% off all Smartwool socks, and 25% off Hydro Flask water bottles.
Camping gear — If your current tent has seen better days then why not pick up a new one when it’s on sale? Currently all REI Co-Op Trail Hut tents in stock are 30% off. All NEMO Aurora tents in stock are 25% off. If you need a new sleeping bag, air mattress or pad then there are also plenty to choose from at up to 30% off.
Clothing and footwear — All REI Co-op Brand hiking pants and shorts for women, men and kids are 30% off. You’ll also find a variety of jackets from North Face and Arc’teryx on sale for 25% off. Plus, hiking and trail boots from Salomon, Keen and The North Face boots on sale for up to 25% off.
